USGS Earthquakes Real TimeThe most recent information on earthquakes is available at the U.S. Geological Survey. The data maps are updated within 5 minutes of an earthquake and once an hour. The magnitude is also determined in 4-5 minutes. The maps will also show you the fault lines. You can also get real time shaking maps and real time forecasts of California for the next 24 hours. You may also want to see the real time seismogram displays, network report, and updates. If you live in Northern California, you may wish to get on the email notification list of Northern California Earthquakes.
