Where do Earthquakes Take Place?Earthquakes most frequently occur near tectonic plate boundaries and near fault lines. The quakes often occurs miles beneath the surface. The closer to the top of the mantle it occurs the greater will be the damages to the crust. Geographically, the best places to find earthquakes are California, Alaska, Nevada, China, Japan, Chile, and Italy.
